California Super Lotto Plus

The SuperLOTTO Plus® jackpot starts at $7 million, and has reached a record $193 million because the jackpot grows each time there is no winner. To win, all you have to do is pick five numbers from 1 to 47 and one MEGA number from 1 to 27 and match them to the numbers drawn by the Lottery. Winning numbers are drawn and videotaped every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:57 PM, at Lottery headquarters in Sacramento.

As a benefit to players the Lottery has modified the "payment options" process. Jackpots are paid in 26 annual payments, or a player may choose the Cash Value payment in one lump sum. See Payment Option for explanation.

How To Play New SuperLOTTO Plus® now with 9 ways to win a prize, and a starting jackpot of $7 million.

Playing is easy and winning is fun! Here's how: Pick up a playslip at any of over 21,000 California Lottery® retailers statewide. Tickets are only sold by California Lottery retailers to persons 18 or older. Just look for the signs with the California Lottery logo displayed at a California Lottery retailer near you.

Pick five numbers from 1 to 47 and a MEGA number from 1 to 27 on the playslip or choose QuickPick® and let the computer pick them for you.

On any play, you can mark "Quick Pick®" to select just the five numbers, or just the MEGA number, or both.

Here's what a SuperLOTTO Plus ticket looks like:

SuperLOTTO Plus costs $1 per play per draw. Remember, you can also select up to 5 additional Quick Picks® on one playslip.

When you buy a SuperLOTTO Plus ticket from a California Lottery retailer, check the numbers on your printed ticket. Once you've made sure the numbers are correct, sign the back of your ticket ... then cross your fingers.

Watch the SuperLOTTO PlusSM draw (every Wednesday and Saturday nights) to see if your numbers match the winning numbers drawn. Find your local station here.

There are 9 ways to match and win. In fact, you can win even if you just match the MEGA number. To win the Jackpot, you must match all five numbers plus the MEGA number.

The California Lottery is proud to present a service to players; the Jackpot Captain program!

The Jackpot Captain program was designed by the California Lottery® to provide both loyal and new players with the tools needed to start a fun and successful Lottery group.

Over the years, the California Lottery® has had countless groups of winners, people just like you, that have pooled their money with friends and family with the hopes of hitting it BIG!

Many of you may even have a group or pool started already, but the Jackpot Captain program will help you make it even more fun!

By default all SuperLOTTO Plus jackpots are paid in 26 annual installments. A winner has the opportunity to choose the Cash Value of their jackpot prize within 60 days of the Lottery's payment approval date. The payment option chosen will apply to all claimants in a multiple ownership claim.

Cash Option If you select the Cash Option, you will receive an amount equal to the net proceeds of the sale of bonds purchased to fund the 26 annual payments for that prize. This will be a single lump sum payment and is estimated at 45% to 55% of the jackpot amount.

Annual payments If you choose the annual payments option, you'll receive the SuperLotto Plus jackpot in 26 graduated annual payments.

For example, if the announced jackpot is $7 million, and you choose the annual payment option, you would receive $175,000 as the first payment (2.5% of jackpot amount). But, over the course of the next 25 years, these payments would gradually increase each year until the final payment of $357,000 - a 100% increase over the first payment!
